The whispered translation is especially adequate in the case of inspections, audits and situations where secrecy may be required, as can be the case for companies’ presidencies, counseling, etc.
However, this type of translation can also be used in large meeting halls, such as for audiences of three, four or five thousand participants where a specific area is reserved to a minority group of foreign visitors. The translation into this group’s idiom is done in low voice, without disturbing the whole audience. It is suitable for far distant dialects which require previous interpretation into a more common language to then be converted into a broadly spoken idiom.
